During the St. Joep Market in Sittard on 19 March 2022, Guus, Floris, Nik, Theun, Sam, Noah and Isabel raised no less than
€ 610.00! These toppers raised this beautiful amount by selling fresh pastries. Many thanks canjers!!!!!
"For several weeks now, the children have been asking if they can do something to help Ukrainians. They themselves came up with the idea of cutting our houseplants and hitting the streets. So this weekend we went to get a bag of potting soil to repot the rooted cuttings and got to see what these pipos do with them. So nice to see how they each do their own contribution according to their own strengths and interests. To be continued, and when everything is sold, I will double the amount (they thought this was very cool!) and we will transfer it to www.avena-vzw.com. That way we can be sure that every euro goes to good use!"
Nuka, Suyini and Miro then set to work hard and have already sold many plants!
The communicants of the Parish Federation JPII in Maastricht West have together saved € 292.00. You may be thinking in the photo it says €277.00 that's right, but after the receipt was made there was more money. Thank you dear communicants!
The St Christopher's Guild of the Cathedral in Roermond is selling these beautiful crocheted flowers. The proceeds are 100% for Ukraine.
Prayer for peace in Ukraine
Good and peaceful God, You have given us the earth to inhabit it together as people and peoples of many languages and backgrounds. But time and again self-interest and the pursuit of power seem to prevail and war and violence threaten. In these days, we pray to You for the people of Ukraine who have become playthings of powers and forces all around. We pray for all the victims of the ongoing violence. Grant Your spirit of wisdom and insight to those whose influence can serve peace and justice. Grant that all your people may live with dignity and in peace as brothers and sisters, as children of You, Father.
Play and read along for Ukraine
Within the Quantiquali company, (educational) development and (educational) support are central, so too across national borders. Ukraine is far away and at the same time very close.

Parish federation John Paul II Maastricht's Lenten action (2022) especially for Ukraine
Normally, the Lenten action or parish action is Mary's meals. This time it goes differently. War is raging in Ukraine, a country has been invaded by its neighbour and hundreds of thousands have fled. They need help now and when they return to their home Ukraine.
We have decided to focus this year's Lent campaign on helping Ukraine. Immediate help for the refugees and later help with their return.
The Lenten Action raised more than €2,000.00! In addition, lots of parishioners collected items such as blankets, hygiene products, warm clothing, first aid boxes, etc. Many thanks for this.
